LeadFirst has collaborated with PepsiCo’s Senior Vice President of Human Resources /Labor Relations and Chief Global Diversity & Inclusion Officer, Ron Parker, and the company’s CEO, Indra Nooyi, to define the company’s “Performance with Purpose” organizational culture and overlay the existing organizational culture in various PepsiCo enterprises around the world.

PepsiCo believe its financial success – Performance  – must go hand-in-hand with its social and environmental responsibilities – Purpose . They bring that Purpose to every aspect of their business. The company is committed to achieving business and financial success while leaving a positive imprint on society – delivering what they call Performance with Purpose .

PepsiCo’s Performance with Purpose agenda is comprised of three platforms:

Family Dollar Stores, Inc., headquartered in Charlotte, NC, is a Fortune 400 company and one of the largest discount retailers in the United States. Family Dollar was the #1 S&P 500 performer in 2008.

Since May, 2007, LeadFirst has joined with Family Dollar to help the company achieve its vision to be the best small-format convenience and value retailer serving the needs of families in the neighborhoods they serve.

Specifically, LeadFirst has helped Family Dollar develop its performance organizational culture, including senior team leadership assessment and development, executive coaching, succession management, organizational culture assessment, change leadership, business advisory services, and enhancing its eLearning platform.


Toyota Motor, the world’s largest automotive manufacturer, manufactures and services cars, pickups, minivans, and SUVs include such models as Camry, Corolla, 4Runner, Land Cruiser, Sienna, the luxury Lexus line, the Scion brand, and a full-sized pickup truck, the V-8 Tundra. Toyota also makes forklifts and manufactured housing, and offers financial services. Once a dark horse in the global automotive game, Toyota overtook Chrysler and Ford in worldwide sales and surpassed General Motors in 2008. The company gets nearly half of its sales from Asia.

LeadFirst was the principal consultant, reporting to the President of Toyota – Canada, responsible for developing a transformation of the company’s dealership/distribution channel through Canada. The success of this transformational effort led to an invitation extended to LeadFirst’s CEO, Gerry McDonough, to present the nature of this transformational effort, and its leadership underpinnings, in a series of leadership forums in Tokyo.


With food and other items that are free of pesticides, preservatives, sweeteners, and cruelty, Whole Foods Market knows more about guiltless eating and shopping than most retailers. The world’s #1 natural foods chain by far, the company operates some 275 stores in the US, Canada, and the UK.

The stores emphasize perishable products, which account for about two-thirds of sales. Whole Foods Market offers more than 2,300 items in four lines of private-label products (such as the premium Whole Foods line). Founded in Austin, Texas, in 1980, Whole Foods Market pioneered the supermarket concept in natural and organic foods retailing.

Since 2007, LeadFirst has advised Whole Foods’ CEO, John Mackey, and co-president, Walter Robb, on executing the company’s Firms of Endearment , sustainable business strategy and social mission.


Bank of America Corporation, a financial holding company, provides a range of banking and nonbanking financial services and products in the United States and internationally. As of December 31, 2008, the company operated approximately 6,100 banking centers and 18,700 automated teller machines. Bank of America was founded in 1874 and is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Since 2003, LeadFirst has discretely delivered Executive Assessment, Executive Coaching and advisory services to SVP- and EVP-level executives.

LeadFirst has partnered with Wal-Mart for ten years, in the United States, South Korea, Mexico, Canada, Chile, India, Japan and China, to develop the leadership qualities of its managers and management teams. Four thousand two hundred seventy (4,270) upper-level managers have experienced some combination of LeadFirst’s Perspective on Leadership or Leading In A Changing Environment , Leading A Performance Culture , or Executive Coaching.


Priding itself on its superior operations, Superior Energy Services provides specialized oil field services to oil and gas companies operating in the Gulf of Mexico and around the world. The acquisition-minded company sells and rents oil and gas well drilling equipment and offers a range of tools and services in Canada, the Middle East, Trinidad and Tobago, the UK, Venezuela, and West Africa. Superior Energy furnishes wireline well access services to acquire data and perform remedial activities. It also makes, rents, and sells specialized drilling and spill containment gear. Superior Energy Services is the leading provider of mechanical wireline services in the Gulf of Mexico.

Since 2007, LeadFirst has provided strategy development, culture formation, leader development, training & development needs assessment and other performance advisory services to various operating entities within the Superior confederation of companies.                     


Oceaneering is a global oilfield provider of engineered services and products primarily to the offshore oil and gas industry, with a focus on deepwater applications. Through the use of its applied technology expertise, Oceaneering also serves the defense and aerospace industries.

LeadFirst has worked with Oceaneering since 2005 around the globe to implement critical management and business development competencies to its entire international management team. As such, LeadFirst has customized core leadership and business development offerings and implemented them at Oceaneering’s key locations in Brazil, Norway, Scotland and the U.S.


Honeywell International is a diversified technology and manufacturing leader, serving customers worldwide with aerospace products and services; control technologies for buildings, homes and industry; automotive products; turbochargers; and specialty materials. Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions (ACS) is a $13 billion strategic business group applying sensing and control expertise that helps create safer, more comfortable, secure and productive environments.

LeadFirst has worked with ACS since 2006 helping its sales and contract teams to partner more effectively with customers in business development.  This work has included Honeywell’s Asia PAC division and has involved consulting and training work in Singapore, Hong Kong, and India.
